The Concerned Women for America (CWA), a group dedicated to promoting Biblical values, leads the popular scripture discussion.
St. Mary Nativity Communion Service, 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 5, 12, 19, & 26
Catholic services are led by Deacon Dan. Open to the public.
Harvest Bible Chapel services, 11:15 a.m. Sundays, Feb. 3, 10, 17, & 24
Worship services are led by The Harvest Bible Chapel, a non-charismatic evangelical fellowship. Open to the public.
Senior sing-a-long, 6:30 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 3, 10, 17, & 24
Sing-a-longs will be held in the piano lounge. This event is free and open to the public.
Tai-Chi, 2:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 4, 11, 18 & 25
Classes are taught by Joliet resident Roger Thompson and last about one hour. Particularly helpful for seniors, tai-chi helps extend one’s range of motion, both physically and mentally. Those with limited mobility are encouraged to attend. Classes are free and open to all senior citizens.
Bingo, 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 5, 12, 19 & 26
Bingo, 6:30 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 2, 9, 16 & 23
Bingo is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided for attendees as well as prizes for bingo winners.
Exercise & Flexibility with Sheila Wallace, 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25
Sheila Wallace of Provena Health, an instructor certified through the Arthritis Foundation, will conduct each gentle, low-impact session. The program is designed to increase flexibility, range of motion, increase stamina and build and maintain muscle strength. The class is free and open to the public; registration is required.
Joliet Women’s Connection, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20
Joliet Women’s Connection will host their monthly meeting. Each meeting features a buffet dinner and an informative speaker on issues facing today’s women. Joliet Women’s Connection is part of the Stonecroft Ministries. The dinner is free to residents of The Timbers; $11.50 for the public.
