Never point a finger at one group of anything. I had a friend that moved to Elgin and was stabbed to death by an intruder within no time of living there, a day or so before her birthday. I heard from students the problem was Drugs and that's what possessed him to do such a horrific thing..a drug called Molly, that is a mixture of every drug together..xstacy cannibus crack...probably other drugs too..thats where the problem lies, everyone especially our kids wants to escape and drugs is the door they use. The latest songs make these mind altering drugs popular to use, they repeat snd glorify it over and over again in their songs..."I be gone off that molly"...No matter what parents around what color. Sounds to me like someone had some real pent up rage and decided to take it out on his momma... Why do blacks seem to turn to violence so easily? this issue is not limited to a certain race....upbringing or anything else that ppl have mentioned here. not too long ago a son in plainfield beat his mother to death and staged it as break in and attempted rape....there were no similarities as far as what little stereotypical group that son belonged in. ppl need to think before they start throwing this nonsense around. how can we come up with a solution when we are stuck on blaming all these negative stereotypes? soceity is scared of the kids. when kids get in trouble in school they kick them out maybe even call the police. for those over 35 ish....what happened when your peers got in trouble in school? what happened when you came home?

Interesting how when a black person commits a violent act it's - "blacks are violent", "black fathers are absent", "black communities have problems" but when a white person commits unspeakable acts like mass murdering children, shooting up college campuses and all of these murder-suicides it's - "the country needs to address mental health" or "the country needs to address gun control"...WTH. The Connecticut shooter was living with his single mom and I never once heard anyone ask where his father was. The waiting list are 2 to 6 mos long.then they want u to either have insurance or medical card.so when do these young men do with no help. Mental health issues are serious ! A rabid animal like this deserves to be euthanized.
