Computer caper
A teenage girl was charged with burglary after the cops caught her with a stolen laptop and cell phone, police said.
The 16-year-old was arrested at about 11:15 a.m. at the Joliet Inn. She was taken from the 19747 N.E. Frontage Road motel to River Valley Juvenile Detention Center in Joliet.
The teen also was charged with theft and obstructing justice, but at least she didn't throw the laptop out the window.

Cops: Bar beating
Officers took a Lockport man into custody after they looked on while he hit someone, police said.
Jesse Leal, 23, of 802 South St. was arrested at about 3:30 a.m. at the Shorewood tavern The Crowd Around Me, police said.
Leal was collared at the 103 E. Jefferson St. bar "after officers observed him strike the victim," police said.
Leal was released after posting bond.
