Vandals smashed car windows Friday night, the police revealed today.

Vandals smashed car windows in neighborhoods south of Route 52 on Friday night, police said.
The Shorewood Police Department said the vandalism spree started about 8 p.m. and "continued throughout the evening."
The police are asking those with knowledge of what prompted the destruction — or who perpetrated it — to come forward.
"Several" automobiles were damaged in the attack, police said, although an exact number was not released.
