Chamber Members Come Out for Event at Rockwell Inn
Morris restaurant reopened in December and held chamber network night last week.
If you live in Morris, or anywhere near it for that matter, you have probably heard of the Rockwell Inn. The restaurant, which has been a staple in the community under a variety of names, has been in the village for seemingly forever. But, it had been closed for a while.
On Dec. 21, the restaurant re-opened with new owner Osman Dzelil. On Feb. 16, the restaurant hosted the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce business after hours. Marilyn Yuhas is the manager of the restaurant.
"It's a steakhouse, we're touted as a steakhouse and seafood," she said.
People who were fans of the Rockwell Inn under the old management should not find the restaurant terribly different, decor-wise.
"We tried to keep it (it's) not totally different because when people come into the Rockwell, they expect to be at the Rockwell," she said.
Yuhas said one of the signiture dishes at the restaurant is the rotisserie duck with Grand Marinier sauce. The restaurant will also be featuring live main lobster Monday through Thursday.
