Crowds to Be Limited in First Year of Electric Daisy Music Fest
Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton said 30,000 fans will be admitted each day of the Memorial Day weekend music festival at Chicagoland Speedway.
Start small, think big.
That's the plan for controling the crowd at the inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival, which will run through Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26) at Chicagoland Speedway, according to a Sun-Times News Group report.
Crowds will be limited to 30,000 on each day of three-day electronic dance and music festival, Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton said in the report. The festival is being promoted by Insomniac and could become a fixture at the speedway, Trafton said.
"I think they want to move slowly in the first year," he said in the Sun-Times News Group report.
