It looks like Drew Peterson's legal eagle Brodsky might have to ask for the murder trial to be moved to a different planet.
We were wondering if Drew thought this part of the movie was hilarious.

Drew Peterson: Untouchable smashed ratings records Saturday night and secured its place in the annals of television history, according to TV by the Numbers.
An unbelievable 5.8 million viewers tuned in to the Lifetime original movie based on the true crime sensation Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Sergeant Drew Peterson by me (Joe Hosey).

Actually, we had more than that to say on the Monday morning after the movie debuted, and we said it on the WGN Morning News.
Here's one of my WGN quotes about Peterson's self-proclaimed "lead attorney" Joel Brodsky's idea to try to have the upcoming murder trial moved out of Will County:
"I don't know what venue he's going to find where they don't have cable television or find a jury that doesn't have access to this movie. If anything I think the movie heightened awareness of the case, the plight of two women where one is missing and one is dead. If anything, it's a good thing."
Here's another from when they asked about Peterson and how he found the movie "hysterical," at least according to Brodsky:
"He's got one dead wife and one missing wife ... if he thinks that's hysterical, that sounds like Drew to me."

I have read books that have turned into movies and the movie was never the same as the book I had read. During the trial the evidence will be given and then the jury can make up its mind. If someone is called for jury duty on this trial and cannot separate the movie and the coverage from the media from the real world.......then it is a sadder thing for that person(s) who lives in a 'bubble' and not the real world. We all know what we have heard and read through the media and it does make it look like he is guilty, but remember too how the media blows things out of proportion. Just sayin'..........try and keep an open mind.

Carol - You are so right about separating the media coverage from what will be presented in the courtroom. You would have to admit, though, that Brodsky and Peterson spent years yapping in the media to keep their names public for a future big-day payoff. Now, they're telling the same public to ignore the movie's implications, because they say it's made up and untrue. Only problem is, Lifetime's movie reached 5.8 million people in its first airing. So, the Dream Team has a lot of work to do. I've heard there's life on Mars.....
5.8 million viewers in the first airing. What does that say about the phenomenal interest in the Drew Peterson case?? Amazing. Not just here, but nationally.
What is the best news so far is that cameras will now be allowed in the courtroom, but I've a feeling that the lead attorney is going to be more a spectator than a participant. Gee, he wasn't even written into the movie. Bettcha 5.8 million people, and growing, heard of Joe Hosey. :-)

That's right, Eye -- the editor of our little Patch is famous! Carol, I agree about the courtroom, too. People aren't all dumb/incapable of separating what they saw in a movie from what is presented to them during a trial. Maybe Brodsky would be too dumb to do it, but that's another story...

I am always reminded of a statement I heard long ago whenever I see or hear Brodsky mumble something:

Yes,but he's doing his job like any defense lawyer is hired to do! That's their job to get their client off! You or I would expect the same thing from our lawyers if we were in trouble too! Just because they use dirty tactics, doesn't mean they aren't no better than you or I!!!

it's despicable that according to drews lawyer brodsky. " drew found the movie hysterical". so a movie that covered the death of your 3rd wife and disappearence of your 4th wife was funny? that's why even though it's more than likely wrong that your being kept in jail with out a trial for this long. nobody cares!

I believe Drew was actually hysterical about the movie is because of the parts of the movie he knows that are real or fictional! Such as a party in the Police lock up and a two man squad car scene! Now that's hysterical !

I was just thinking! The way judges have been handing down ridiculous sentences for murders as of late! 15,20 and 30 years for very violent murders that were on the news, Drew should maybe make a deal and have his lawyers ask for 20 years and he could be out in 10-12 years!

Myself, others, and the US Constitution(6th) amendment are not fans of hearsay evidence. The rationale is that we have no opportunity to challenge the credibility and cross-examine the person making the statements! This was not a dying declaration and how Illinois was able to pass it , making it admissible will either be lost by the State , Illinois Supreme Court or US Supreme Court.

It's getting pretty desperate when a so-called movie critic has to resort to coming up with a slam of an actor's metro-suburban accent. It's certainly not Rob Lowe's fault he had to play the part of the biggest clown of a murder defendant there ever was. If Lowe's acting and character portrayal was over-the-top, then it sounds like nailed the part. If it walks like a Bozo, acts like a Bozo and talks like a Bozo........

I am sorry to say I thought the movie was nothing to the actual truth and I really do feel Joe was more excited about the fact that a book was made into a movie rather then the real truth being told. I have it on terms with a friend of mine that there is a chanc that Stacy help Drew kill Kathleen and also has anyone seen the video of Drew Peterson and his son Steve Peterson having sex with a women together at the sametime? Like I said I believe the movie was of poor taste, btw how much did ALL of the families make from the movie? I am sure Joe made a good amount.
