Drop Dead Day For Taxes
Really? You still haven't gotten your taxes in?
You had an extra two days to get your taxes in, but did you?
Well, if you didn't, the Washington Post gives you the good news and the bad news about being a rotten procrastinator.
The bad news includes the fact that many post offices won't be staying open late tonight and that you stand a better than average chance of getting killed if you happen to be driving around, the story said.
The good news is that you might find some free stuff if you look hard enough. But then you would still get that free stuff even if you filed your taxes a month ago. So there's really no good news at all. Isn't that always the way?
As far as free stuff goes, this one isn't really free, but it might as well be: For only a penny you get a second Big Mac or quarter-pounder with cheese after you buy a Big Mac or quarter pounder with cheese.
That sounds like a great deal. But just like the Washington Post, we're going to get all good-news-bad-news with you.
The good news is that participating McDonald's all over the country will be doing the penny deal on tax day. The bad news is the guy answering the phone at the McDonald's in Shorewood last night told us that his own particular McDonald's isn't participating. Oh well.

Steve, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. See? Your feverish typing of that mean comment resulted in a typo.

Come on now Freddie you have to be one of the two if you wait until the last day to file. Or you owe money...then I see no reason to file lol
