Gasoline Prices Rise 13 Percent Over Last 32 Days

CNN Money reports the average price for a gallon of gasoline in America is $3.73. Shorewood gasoline prices are even higher.

Most motorists have noticed that the price of gasoline has done nothing but rise over the past month.

CNN Money reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in America has increased more than 13 percent over the past 32 days to $3.73.

On Tuesday morning, gas prices in Shorewood ranged from $3.89 at the BP station at 312 E. Jefferson St., to $3.97 at the Speedway at 900 Brook Forest Ave., according to GasBuddy.com.

CNN Money is crediting the price increase to a combination of factors including rising crude oil prices, production cuts and refinery closings.

Hard for us, as individuals to control things like these rising gas prices, more taxes coming out of our paychecks, cost of grocery's going up. But one thing we can control is by going to the polls April 9th and voting NO to the Shorewood-Troy Library Referendum question to triple our Library tax rate so they can build a $21 million new library, when we have one already.

The Chosen One will do nothing about it as he has been reelected. I see alot of people at the pumps only putting in $20 as that is all they can afford. But the liars in the media keep singing "Happy Days Are Here Again"-who to believe-the govt lackeys in the media or my own eyes? At least our fine govt employees are well paid and get their raises.

That is what I was going to say also...Maybe Shorewood should consider taking that library off their minds and off the ballot. These are trying times for everyone, there will be nothing but price increases in everything you can think of this year. But the beast needs more money to fund useless projects! VOTE NO ON APRIL 9TH

The only reason gas prices are out of control is because politicians finally found a way to make side money legally they are allowing the gas to keep fluctuating because they are getting paid by big oil with kickbacks...Everyone blamed the oil man Bush when he was President now no one wants to blame the Muslim..Really when we gonna wake up and see the government wants only rich and poor no middle class.

Jax-you hit the nail on the head with a sledgehammer. Maybe Hosey can write an updated version of "A Tale of Two Cities" or "Les Miserables" with SPD arresting a man for stealing gas so he can get to work in order to feed his family. Troubling times indeed.

CNN Money is wrong the price of crude has not risen that much in the last quarter much less the last month.
Our government is making the price of gas go up because they wont let any new refineries be built to replace old, shut down facilities.
The last refinery built in the US was over 30 years ago.
