One-Car Crash Causes Delays on Interstate 80
The crash in the westbound lanes caused one lane to close for about 20 minutes
A one-car crash on Interstate 80, just east of the Houbolt Road, closed a westbound lane of traffic for about 20 minutes Monday morning, the Illinois State Police said.
The accident occurred at about 8 a.m. when a driver swerved off the road whne the vehicle in front of him slowed down, Master Sgt. Martez Malone said.
"(The driver) went too slow, veered to the left and struck a guardrail," Malone said.
No one was injured in the crash. The car was towed from the scene.
