One person was injured and taken to an area hospital Tuesday evening after four vehicles collided on westbound Interstate 80 at Ridge Road. The crash happened at about 4 p.m., an Illinois State Police representative said.

The tanker truck was carrying some type of D alcohol, the state police representative said, but while she thought a hazardous material team was called, she said the scene was cleaned quite quickly. Minooka Fire Protection District responded to the scene.

Information on the sex, age and hometown of the person transported was not available. There was also no available information on citations issued.
