Readers' Choice: Best Place for a Hot Dog
Everyone has a favorite! Make sure yours is nominated so we can ensure it's on our list when it's time to vote.
We start eating them when we're barely able to walk, and by the time we're adults, we're slapping everything from pickle relish to hot peppers to raw onions on to them.
Is there any food that's more associated with America than the hot dog? And if you grew up in Chicago or its suburbs, is there anything people like to debate more than where you can get the best one?

The best hot dog, hands down... Joe's Hot Dogs. None better. Babes is pretty good too, but Joe's hot Dogs along with a sack of fries... yum

The automatic is, of course, Joe's. But the dogs have changed. They aren't as good today as they were in the 90's. Certainly they weren't the same in the 90's as they were in previous decades.

I like Babe's better than Joe's. Babe's piles on the toppings and Joe's uses much less. Additionally Joe's charges more for dill pickle.

Portillo's in Shorewood. Jumbo hot dog is the best and I'm from Chicago when the local hot dog man had a street cart. Portillo's is #1.

Jody's. Hands down. The staff is much more friendly, the fries rock and if you live or work close to Jody's they deliver!!!! 99cent hot dog day is great. 1am hotdogs are great. But, Jody's always is the choice for number one.
