Editor's note: The following is a press release from Holy Family Catholic School.
The students were offered an opportunity to show their school spirit, support the less fortunate, and welcome visitors with pride to their school. The week’s festivities included a spelling bee, a science fair, penny wars, a pep rally, and a parent vs. eighth grade student basketball game.
The open house held on Tuesday gave prospective families an opportunity to learn more about Holy Family’s curriculum, meet the faculty, and observe classes in session. The science fair projects that were displayed in the gym during the open house also drew attention from visitors.
Seventh graders participated in the science fair that is organized by the Junior Academy of Science. These students exhibited their science fair projects in the gym, while alums, faculty, and JCA students judged their efforts.
Congratulations to the ten students selected to compete at the regional event March 8, which will be held at University of St. Francis. These students include: James Papandria, Pamela Krumviede, Jenny Koerner, Justin DeVries, Jacob Ross, Aryka Adelmann, Abigayle Buhay, Kara Kalafut, Kylie Thornburg, and Matthew Gochee.
