No One was Injured in Semi-Truck Fire Off Interstate 80 in Minooka
Two hours later, though, emergency crews were still on the scene.
At just past 10 a.m. Wednesday, Illinois State Police and Minooka Fire Protection District members were still on the scene of a truck fire that began at around 8:20 a.m.
"It's still burning," Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Martez Malone said. " Minooka Fire is on scene and it's contained."
Malone reported that the semi driver, who was uninjured in the incident, pulled the truck into the rest area on the eastbound of Interstate 80 when he noticed the truck catch fire.
No information was available about the trucking company, but Malone said it was carrying furniture.
A cause had yet to be determined.
