Shorewood Family Displaced by House Fire
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but the home is uninhabitable.

No one was injured in a fire in the 800 block of Abbeywood Drive Sunday night, but a family was left homeless.
"Everybody got out," Troy Fire Protection District Chief Steve Engledow said.
The call for the fire came into Troy Fire Protection District at 7:12 p.m. Ten fire districts assisted in the fire. The two-story home had extensive damage. Engledow said the cause was undetermined, but that it was not suspicious in nature.
Channahon Fire Protection District, Minooka Fire Protection District, Joliet Fire Department, Lockport Township Fire Protection District, East Joliet Fire Department, Wilmington Fire Protection District and Coal City Fire Protection District were among the departments that assisted Troy Fire Protection District.

Or maybe I am just reading the story bitches...See now I was going to leave this alone but sense you feel the need to screw with me...My thoughts are the fully staffed fire house couldn't put out a campfire without losing the forest.I really hope each time that nobody in the village will ever need them, most of all me. since any place that catches fire is a loss...everytime. Rather fight the fight myself with a garden hose, would probably save more.

Nope never bothered to waste my time....hope you need them one day to extract you from your burning smashed up vehicle Joe. And how would needing them one day make me eat my words? The only way that could happen is if they managed to save the house.....Which they have yet to do. I know their job is dangerous and all that and fires are sometimes tough to fight, but come on at least save one building.

Isn't their job pretty much self explanatory? Fire burns, use water to put out. Now if they would let me go out on a actual call with them I might reconsider the offer. But just to go see equipment and their lockers...i'm good.
