Shorewood Insurance Man Loses License
The state announced it pulled the license of a Shorewood insurance man for fraud.
A Shorewood insurance man lost his license for committing fraud, according to a statement released Friday afternoon.
Kevin Whitney had been licensed to sell life, health, fire, casualty and variable insurance since March 14, 2008, according to the statement from the Illinois Department of Insurance, but lost that license for issuing a "a fraudulent certificate of insurance and (failing) to facilitate and aid the director in the investigation."
The revocation of Whitney's license was made effective Dec. 15.
The decision against Whitney requires him to pay $95.00 in hearing costs and a $10,000.00 civil forfeiture.
