Shorewood Lions Halloween Costume Winners Announced

More than 40 Troy Township children won prizes at the Lions Halloween party.

Close to 125 children, parents and grandparents were on hand in the Troy Middle School Cafeteria last week for the Shorewood Lions Club Halloween party.

The party for residents of Troy Township included constests in which more than 40 children won cash prizes.

The top three finishers in each category also received assorted gift certificates from , Cemeno’s Pizza, Babes Hot Dogs, , , Sony’s Delite and McDonalds.

The preschool winners were: Liddia Koren (queen of hearts), Rilyn O’Hern (pirate), and Valerie Mantia (Strawberry Shortcake).

The kindergarten through first grade winners were: Mitchel Ragusa (Headless Horseman), Brianna Kaufman (Jasmine ), and Colin Ward (Prince Caspian).

The second through third grade winners were: Amelia Koren (Raggedy Ann), George Limacher (Mad-Eye Moody), and Alaina Sebring (claw machine).

The fourth through fifth grade winners were: Jacob Ragusa (man-eating shark), Michal Tobias (gorilla), Jared Mantia (foot soldier from Red Zone).

Halloween party Chairman and master of ceremonies Jim McDonald thanked cafeteria volunteers Terri Wittkofskii, Diane Kettman, Jodi Burian,and Haley Hargis for their time and efforts.

Linda McClusky and Toni Dulny volunteered to be judges. Duane and Eunice Wakeman, Scott Hargis, Sam and Kaylee Burian helped with the food, prizes, clean up and other activities. Darrell Stalnaker publicized the event, and Diane McDonald took pictures and recorded the names of the winners.
