Weren't the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan supposted to keep gas prices down ?
Wasn't the call for domestic drilling supposted to keep gas prices down ?
Where are the vehicles which supposedly get 100 mpg or more ?
America has been getting hosed ( pun intended ) since the 1970's and basically held hostage by the big oil cartel. This past week, the republican-dominated house of representatives voted to continue subsidizing big oil with tax dollars.
Interesting but not surprising, the same representatives who voted to continue handing out tax dollars to big oil are also the happy recipients of campaign donations by these same oil companies.
One hand does indeed wash the other.
Tawanda could not be more correct except Afghanistan, which was supposed to be punch-back for 9-11. But of course, W had to start a war in Iraq so Cheney and his evil-doer friends could rape the country of its oil resources to the benefit of Exxon, et al. Oh, and the tax subsidies to the big oil companies is blatant rape of the American taxpayer.
Tawanda misrepresented: "Weren't the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan supposted to keep gas prices down?"
No, I never heard that rationale. If you can find a link (to a reputable news source and not another of your blog/propaganda websites) I'd be interested in seeing it.
"Wasn't the call for domestic drilling supposted to keep gas prices down?"
Just calling for domestic drilling won't change gas prices. We have to actually do it. All increases in drilling the last several years has been on private land - the land WE THE PEOPLE own has not been opened for drilling.
BTW, it's "supposed" (without the "t") not "supposted."

Barry got the larger donations from BP during the 2008 election.
"the same representatives who voted to continue handing out tax dollars to big oil "
Just what tax dollars are you talking about? Do you agree or disagree that the oil industry should have the same tax treatment as other industries?
Are you aware the that the governments make MORE per gallong from gasoline sales than the oil companies do?

Afghanistan has valuable minerals and mining for the taking:
http://www.thenewslink.com/afghanistan-lithium-trillion-dollar-mineral-deposits
reason enough ? wars fought over pineapples, tin, spice routes, slaves, oil, etc.
the cluprits do not try to conceal any of this and the sheeple pay.

Yes, Afghanistan has minerals...and the USA is taking none of them. Are you arguing that the USA should pillage countries for their resources?
