It is a small cast. Nine children to be exact, who are between the ages of 6 and 13. But, in one small week, they have learned all of the aspects of theater. From what it takes to build a set to what it takes to act on a stage, the children have been immersed in the business.

"Ta-Tanisha's program is fantastic," Amy Hayes, executive director of TRAC said. "She covers all aspects of production.

The camp is the first of its kind at TRAC, which took over the old Minooka Fire Protection District station on Mondamin Street. Hayes said the cooperation of the district makes programs like this one possible.

"They've been very supportive," she said.

TRAC will be hosting a grand opening of its gallery space this summer. Also, because of the success of the spring break program, TRAC has already planned a summer theater program for kids.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 25 to 29, kids can again learn about the business of theater. The cost for the summer camp is $140 and the kids put on a production at the end of the week.
