Two women said they fought off robbers this weekend.
Waylaid on walk
A teen told Joliet police two women tried to rob her as she was walking away from a liquor store Saturday night.
The 18-year-old said the two women pushed her to the ground as she was leaving the store and walking in the 500 block of Ward Avenue about 11 p.m.
The two women kicked the teen while trying to snatch away her wallet, which she was gripping tenaciously in her hands, police said.
The women fled, failing to grab the teen's wallet but somehow managing to hurt her feet.
The teen's injured feet were treated at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Woman waylaid
A woman told police she was attacked near the corner of Cass and Collins streets Friday night.
The 30-year-old reportedly said two men grabbed her arm and she fell to the ground about 9 p.m.
The next day she went to Silver Cross Hospital with both eyes bruised and swollen shut. Hospital staff alerted the police to the woman's plight.

Woman waylaid! They need to go to her house and check her husband/boy friends hands for marks. Then accidently knock him to the ground while pounding his face into the coffee table.
