Coke collar

A midnight traffic stop turned into a felony drug arrest, police said.

Samantha Hutson, 29, was in a car the Shorewood cops pulled over for an "equipment violation" near the corner of Houbolt Road and Jefferson Street, police said.

During the traffic stop, police said, officers found Hutson in possession of a substance that tested positive for cocaine.

Hutson, who the Shorewood police say lives in Chicago but according to Will County Sheriff's Department records has a Braidwood address, was hauled off to the county jail in Joliet. She was booked into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment.

Hutson was the second person in two days to get collared on a coke charge by the Shorewood police.
