Get ready for more snow!

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Thursday until 6 p.m. Friday for all of northern Illinois including the following counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will.

The National Weather Service in Chicago says the snow should develop by Thursday evening and continue into Friday, with snowfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches expected.

"A period of heavy snow with snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour is possible late Thursday evening into the overnight hours," according to the National Weather Service.

Its nice to see we are going to get a little snow especially now that gas is at record high prices . I can't figure out how patch can have so many articles that really aren't that important yet they never bring up gas pricing in will county. There really isn't any reason for these prices except oil speculators doing their dirty work again, and a bunch of people in Congress who want the XL pipeline going so their investment will start showing some profits.

And do you think gas prices will drop because patch writes about it? I guarantee if everyone would take one whole day off from the world buying gas, I believe prices would drop.

I hope shorewood village plow drivers get a lot of OT with this storm-they do alot of nothing all year to save their energy for snow events like these.
