Would Casey Anthony Make A Great Read? Mom Talk

She’s out. She’s free. Now what?

Twelve citizens said Casey Anthony did not commit first degree murder of her baby girl.

She’s been secretly whisked away in a private plane to God knows where like the end of a John Grisham novel.

Now what?

The woman has no notable skills. She has no advanced training or education. She’s been portrayed as a party girl who needs a spanking.

Did she do it? I don’t know. What I do know is that some jurors said there was not enough evidence to convict on first degree murder. They said they would have found her guilty had the charge been merely manslaughter.

Hum. That’s one of the few details about the trial that I actually paid attention to.

Looking ahead, Casey Anthony is one of the most famous alleged baby killers in modern history. At least until the next news cycle. How is she going to earn a living? Who will hire her? Will she be able to wait tables or work as a store clerk? Even if she cuts her long ponytail, her sour puss and big ears are a dead giveaway, pun intended. She’ll be easily recognized.

She’s going to have to turn to the media for some book or movie deal. She’ll have to tell all, cough, gag, wheeze. Personally, I don’t want to listen to that woman cry in her beer about the fifteen different excuses she came up with during her trial. She’s a convicted liar, liar, pants on fire, and I don’t want to hear it.

Therefore, all you book publishers and reality show producers, listen up. I will not pay a single penny to find out what Casey Anthony has to say. I will not purchase any products she advertises. I will not so much as pay for the gas to drive to the library to check out a book for free. So if you’re chomping at the bit for her to sign on the dotted line, count me out.

This reminds me of when I attended the funeral of my college roommate, Julie Welch. She was killed in the Oklahoma City Bombing. Having witnessed the rubble and smelled the charred flesh, I felt justice would be best served if Timothy McVeigh were sentenced to a lifetime of community service in OKC. The death penalty was too easy on him.

Similarly, maybe it is best for Casey Anthony to be “free” after such a public trial. Make no mistake, I am encouraging no violence or physical harm to the woman. I just think that the Amish got it going on when they shun someone: it’s a life of living hell.

Let’s do that to Casey Anthony. Let’s ignore her. Let her gain absolutely nothing from her fame. I hope she has no friends, no work, nowhere to go. I hope she’s scared, not injured.

Except maybe it’s about time that her parent takes her over his knee and gives her a spanking long overdue.
