The village board cleared the way for a yoga studio and wellness center to move across town to Shorewood Industrial Park.
Essence of Life Healing Arts had to appeal to village trustees for a conditional use permit so they can operate a recreational facility in an industrial district.
And the trustees raised no objections to the facility making the move.
Essence of Life Healing Arts won't be the first recreational facility to set up shop in the industrial park along Earl Road. They will join Sharp Sports, Starr Dance, and Strictly Fishing and Archery.
Essence of Life Healing Arts will relocate from Hammel Creek Commons.
According to a memo from Village Planner Karen James, "Essence of Life Healing Arts is a yoga studio and wellness center offering a variety of programs and activities, including yoga, pilates, dance, boot camp, TRX, Zumba, air brush tanning system, and fitness and wellness retail."
James said the business has only two employees and that fitness instructors come to the site to teach their classes.
