Joliet West High School student Hannah Tadey and Joliet Central High School teacher Tammie Terry will demonstrate the character attribute of compassion by participating in a mission trip over the summer.
Tadey, Terry and other members of the Messiah Lutheran Church (Joliet) will work with children and assist in food kitchens in an impoverished area of the Dominican Republic.
“Hannah always finds the time to demonstrate compassion,” said Terry. “I am so proud of her because she truly makes a positive impact upon everyone she meets. This trip is a an experience that she will remember throughout her life because of the difference she will make in the lives of the children she works with and the people that she assists.“
