JOLIET – To further its efforts in assisting the residents of Will County, the Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC) received a donation from the Enbridge Energy Company.
“We are very grateful for this generous donation from Enbridge,” said Kris White, executive director of WCCCC. “We rely heavily on donations from the community to provide assistance to our residents.”
Each year, the WCCCC provides a holiday dinner, complete with turkey and all the trimmings, gifts, and winter coats for families in Will County. The center hosts a holiday party with refreshments and a visit with Santa. The donation from Enbridge helps support this program.
"I am pleased that Enbridge is able to support the Will County Center for Community Concerns." said Jennifer Smith, Enbridge Public Affairs Advisor. "Enbridge strives to be a good partner through its philanthropy and the active involvement of employees with local organizations supporting those communities where our employees live and work."
Will County Executive Larry Walsh said he continues to be impressed with the level of cooperation and support amongst the various entities throughout the county.
“We are fortunate to have community-minded corporations, such as Enbridge, in Will County,” Walsh said. “Kris and her staff do remarkable work to help many families and this donation from Enbridge will help further these efforts.”
