16-Year-Old Ridgway Crowned Miss Shorewood

Mayor Rick Chapman is on hand to crown the winner during Thursday's program in the band shell at Shorewood's Towne Center.

Special guest: Shorewood Mayor Rick Chapman crowned Elizabeth Ridgway as Miss Shorewood for 2013 to highlight Thursday's program in the band shell at the new Veteran's Memorial Park at Shorewood's Towne Center.
She said it: "It means a lot to me—it's been a great experience," Elizabeth Ridgway said of being crowned Miss Shorewood. "I'm excited to see what I can do for the Village of Shorewood and what sort of platform I can bring to my charity and what I can bring to community service."
Donation: Ridgway said she will donate her $200 charity prize to Shorewood HUGS, a local non-profit organization that strives to fulfill wishes of those in need.
