Another Cat of the Week — You'll be Smitten by Smitty

The last cat of the week got snatched up, so here's another.

The good news is Lulu the Siamese cat found a loving home. The bad news is that there are plenty more where she came from.

Since Lulu didn't last but a day on the open market after the Shorewood Patch showcased her as the Cat of the Week, the Will County Humane Society stepped up with another featured feline in need of a place to call his own.

This one is Smitty, a "handsome young adult sweetheart," writes humane society volunteer Sally Planic.

"He is all dressed up in his black and white tuxedo and ready to be your Valentine," Planic said. "You will be smitten by his white mittens and his declawed front paws. He's waiting for a new forever home at the Will County Humane Society."

You can meet Smitty at the Shorewood shelter on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Just drop by the humane society at 24109 W. Seil Road, or visit willcountyhumane.org.
