Shorewood Glen is a Hidden Gem

Shorewood Glen resident Tom Lewis agrees that the village is a terrific place, especially in the "hidden gem" of his neighborhood.

Your seem to describe Shorewood as the place to chill ...

"Was there anything resembling a landmark event in town this week? No. Were there any historic happenings? Again, no. But was Shorewood still arguably the best place in this entire world to live, or even just hang out for a little while? Unequivocally, yes."

And, that’s what Shorewood Glen is all about, too.  We call it the "Hidden Gem of Shorewood."

If you’re a baby boomer and ready to take THAT step back, Shorewood Glen is the place to take that step to. If you’re not ready to retire to a condo and still want a house for a home but without all the work, look at Shorewood Glen, there’s plenty to do without puttering around the house or cutting the grass, no raking the leaves, and no more shoveling snow, either!

Being an active adult community, there is plenty to do with the clubhouse being the center or hub of all the activities here at Shorewood Glen.

We bought in the Southgate area of Shorewood Glen a little over a year ago. We were lucky enough to secure a home site that will overlook Four Seasons Park once the development is completed. The ‘Great Recession’ hasn’t slowed down the Southgate sales … over 50 units sold since we moved in with only a handful left.

I think two home sites are left for construction, then we have a full house in Southgate. Great pricing for the house we bought. And, the developer is about to accommodate this demand by building several smaller home designs in the Sunshine, Sunset and-or Sunset areas of Shorewood Glen, which will be a bit pricier but still very reasonable by Shorewood’s standards.

As far as the neighbors, we couldn’t ask for better. We had a situation that banded and bonded us together almost overnight where it usually takes a while to get to know your neighbors.

We got to know the people who run the Village of Shorewood. They step right in and help where they can … good people.

We have to agree with you. Shorewood is a great place to be.
