Shorewood Teen Knocked Out Pal's Teeth With Wii Remote Control: Lawsuit

The Shorewood teen lost her two front teeth in the alleged Wii attack.

A Shorewood teen knocked out another Shorewood teen's teeth when she hit her in the face with a Wii remote, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.

Kathleen Lanagan named Sara Novak and her parents, Kay and John Novak, in her personal injury lawsuit.

Lanagan was a minor when Sara Novak flung a Wii remote control at her face in June 2012, the lawsuit said, but is now an adult.

"As a result of the remote control striking Kathleen Lanagan in the face, it caused a laceration to her chin, and caused the death of her two front teeth," the suit said.

John and Kay Novak were Sara Novak's legal guardians at the time of the alleged incident and bear "parental responsibility," according to the lawsuit.
