Don't Be A Dummy! Help Your Local Library

Give the Shorewood-Troy Library a hand and help them win some books for you to read.

It is the 20th anniversary of the Dummies books.

You know, those books that are titled something like, Home Mortgages for Dummies, or Golden Retrievers for Dummies. Librarians (and our patrons) love the Dummies books because they are usually a quick, accurate introduction to a topic that is easy for people to understand. The Shorewood-Troy Library currently has 54 Dummy books, and they are popular.

Did you know that there are over 1600 Dummies books in print? Those 1600 titles cover a wiiiiiiiiide range of information, and we would love to win all of the titles for our library! That is a value of almost $20,000!

Yes, that's right. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the books, the publishing company is running a contest that would allow the Shorewood-Troy Library to win a complete set of in-print Dummies books.

So how can you help us win the contest? It's easy! Go to Facebook and search for "Shorewood Troy Library Loves for Dummies" and become a fan of the page. The library with the most fans wins the books. Get your family and friends involved too. The more fans, the merrier.
