Sing and Swing with Ron and Sandie

The vocal duo known as Ron and Sandie will entertain residents and the public at a show titled, “Sing and Swing” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd, Shorewood.

Sandie Triplett has been entertaining people at retirement communities and senior centers for 25 years. She sings the hits by Doris Day, Patsy Cline, Anne Murray and Judy Garland.

“There’s nothing that makes me happier than to sing those great standards,” Triplett said. “I watch my audience members’ faces light up as I take them back to those special times in their lives - possibly a first love or a first date. I just love to tickle their memories.”

Ron Camron was born and raised in Australia. He started singing rock ‘n roll in the 1950s. In 1965 he won a trip around the world in a National Singing Contest. He has performed in clubs all over the world including Sydney, London, New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. He also sang for four years on the Love Boat circuit.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
