Irish Christmas at The Timbers of Shorewood

Singer-songwriter Joe McShane will bring a bit of the Emerald Isle to The Timbers of Shorewood.

An Irish Christmas will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at retirement community, 1100 N. River Road, as singer and songwriter Joe McShane will provide entertainment for residents and the public.

McShane grew up hearing his parents play, sing and dance to Irish music. He started with the harmonica at age 5 and the guitar at age 12, and two years later, he wrote his first song — “My Silverbridge Home.”

McShane traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S., performing with bands, with his brother as a duo, or as a solo act. Throughout his career, he has written many popular songs. In fact, many performers have recorded McShane’s songs on their own albums.
