The Best Day Camps Around: Patch Picks

Here's how to find the right activities to keep your kids busy this summer.

If you are looking for a day camp for your child this summer, why not start with a pony? This week's Patch Picks feature day camps within driving distance of Shorewood, Channahon and Minooka.

Sara's Pony Day Camp: June through August, take your child to Monee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Camps are limited to 10 children. Activities include pony rides, pony cart rides, crafts, games and learning how to care for a pony. They also include mini-shows and boat rides. Joliet Park District Camps: All summer long, there are dozens of camps to choose from for all age groups. Some of our favorites include T.E.E.N, Discovery Day Camp, Play Dance, Nature Camp, Imagination Theatre, Budding Artist, CPR for Dynamic Super Sitter, Zany Brainy Science Camp, Cheerleading/Pom Camp, Kinder Camp and more.
