About 10,000 Easter Eggs Ought To Do It!

Kids from all over are invited to a free Easter egg hunt at The Timbers of Shorewood.

Children of all ages and their families are invited to the seventh-annual Hippity-Hop Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.

More than 10,000 eggs have been ordered for this year’s indoor and outdoor egg hunt.

At 10:45 a.m., toddler-aged children from 1 to 3-years-old will participate in an indoor egg hunt in a balloon-filled room. The outdoor egg hunt on the Timbers’ grounds is for all children age 4 and older, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The schedule is as follows:

  • 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. — ages 0 to 3
  • 11:30 a.m. to noon — ages 4 and 5
  • Noon to 12:30 p.m. — ages 6 and 7
  • 12:30 to 1 p.m. — ages 8 and 9
  • 1 to 1:30 p.m. — ages 10 and older

The egg hunt will feature prizes for everyone, along with plenty of kid-friendly entertainment including:

  • Photos with the Easter Bunny
  • Petting zoo, consisting of about 30 farmyard animals including goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, a pot-bellied pig and a bunny rabbit
  • Two caricature artists — Dan Laib and Angel Contrares
  • Juggler
  • Magicians
  • Coloring contest
  • Pianist Frank Rossi
  • Games, prizes, popcorn, hot chocolate and cookies

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services.
