Gift Shop Moves And Expands

Gifts Divine relocated to offer more.

The largest Catholic gift shop in Will County just got bigger.

For Gifts Divine, a short move a few blocks north means a lot more space at half the rent.

The new location, 18622 Route 59, has three rooms, including one entirely dedicated to communion and baptism outfits. There are dressing rooms and mirrors that will be more fun for the young girls, according to Owner Lori Andrejek.

A second room is now dedicated soley to Irish gifts. That includes jewelry, wedding gifts, frames, rosaries and Irish saint medals. Also, the story has expanded its line of Irish baptismal gowns, communion dresses and suits.

The main room will still offer a wide variety of Christian and Catholic gifts. To read more about what the store offers, click .

Andrejek said the move was difficult because Comcast didn't come out to install the phone lines when promised. Also, she was told the store would keep the same phone number, which didn't happen.

"It's been hard but I can't complain," she said.

For as many customers the store may have lost during the transition, it made up for with walk-in traffic. Many people have seen the sign and stopped in to inquire. There is more visibility along Route 59 than in the previous strip mall location.
