Joliet Junior College Farmer's Market Takes Place Every Thursday

Don't miss the weekly farmers' market that takes place on Thursday evenings.

The Joliet Junior College Farmers' Market kicked off at 3 p.m. May 23, despite the chilly weather.
But if you missed it, not to fret, the market will continue every Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1215 Houbolt Road, in the area around the greenhouse, until Oct. 24. There will not be a farmers' market on July 4.
According to a written release from the college, the farmers' market is made possible by a $92,000 grant awarded to the college last fall from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP).  JJC is the only community college in the nation to receive grant funding from this program.
