Shorewood Inventor and Entrepreneur Wins Environmental Award

Michael Schuster's HydroRight flush converter placed in the top 10 in a magazine's contest for green building products.

One of the product's developed by Shorewood inventor and entrepreneur Michael Schuster has placed in the  Top 10 Green Building Products awards offered by Sustainable Industries magazine.

Schuster's HydroRight dual flush converter was recognized by the magazine and will be highlighted in its July/August issue.

“It is an incredible honor for the HydroRight dual flush converter to win this award,” Schuster said in a statement released by his company,  in Shorewood. Schuster is the president of MJSI.

Schuster also captured second place in a Home Depot contest for most innovative product.

“We believe that dual flush retrofits offer green builders  a way to see significant water savings, gain LEED points and save the expense of buying new toilets without throwing thousands of tons of non-biodegradable porcelain into our country’s overflowing landfills," Schuster said. "We are thrilled that the judges see the value of the HydroRight as a water-saving alternative to low-flow toilets for green building renovation projects.”
