Tornado Warning in Effect for Grundy, Will Counties
Periods of thunderstorms could bring up to 2 inches per hour.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning and a severe thunderstorm warning for Grundy and Will Counties.
The warning, which expires at 9:09 p.m., is for potentially dangerous stroms with wind gusts as high as 80 mph.
"Moble homes will be heavily damaged," according to the NWS report. "Flying debris will be dangerous to people and animals. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows and vehicles. Tree damage and power outages are likely."
