Classical pianist Floyd Andrew performs at the Timbers

Classical pianist Floyd Andrew will perform for residents and the public at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in the grand ballroom at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd.

Andrew has been playing the piano for more than 35 years. He combines his classical music training with a unique style that captures the hearts of his audience. Known as “Mr. Showman,” Andrew performs standards including Broadway show tunes, movie theme songs, nostalgic classics and music from times gone by with a perfected art form of glitter and glamour.

He has performed across the United States and Canada including at the Special Olympics and the Toronto Winter Fest. Andrew holds a Licentiate from Trinity College of Music in London, England.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
