There will be an outdoor flagpole dedication followed by a ceremonial raising of the flag as part of the Veterans Day celebrations at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
The Veteran’s Group from Shorewood Glen will join an honor guard from the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad. A bugler will also be in attendance for the special dedication.
The flagpole was installed and furnished by Folgers Flag and Decorating, Inc. of Blue Island.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services.
