Supplement your Income: From Junk to Cash seminar at the Timbers

Cheryl Henker will present a seminar titled “Supplement your Income: From Junk to Cash” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. The event is free and open to the public.

It is often said that one person’s trash is another’s treasure. Today there are many ways a person can sell unwanted household items through a garage sale or through an eBay account. Henker will lead participants through the steps.

In addition to selling household items, people can donate items to charities recognized by the IRS and receive a tax deduction for their contributions.

For more than 30 years Henker has worked in the finance industry. In addition, she started her own business to help teach people how to generate cash and make money from home. She has combined her financial services career experience with her passion for resale.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Shelly Goggins at 815-609-0669 or visit the Timbers of Shorewood website.
