Wallace Family Benefit

About Jim

Jim Wallace suffered massive heart failure on April 28, 2013 and went into cardiac arrest 4 times in 36 hours.  Jim remained on a breathing machine and has recently received a tracheotomy to help his breathing.  He will eventually need a heart transplant.  However, in the meantime an LVAD was placed to help his heart work effectively.  On May 25, Jim suffered a series of strokes that left swelling in his brain and paralysis of his right side. He remains hospitalized in Wisconsin.

Jim is married and a father of two young boys: Anthony, age 5 and Marcus, age 3.  His wife Theresa is a stay at home mom.  Before his hospitalization he worked as a floor salesman at the Menards in Baraboo Wisconsin.  Jim also enjoys playing soccer, watching his favorite Chicago sports teams: the White Sox, Blackhawks and Bears. Of course, he also enjoys spending time with his family.  Jim is a Plainfield High School alum and brother to our dear friend, Corinne Wallace.

Jim’s hospitalization and the medical costs that will come with it are putting a huge financial strain on his family. This benefit is being organized to help ease their burden.
