JCA March Students of the Month

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its March Students of the Month.

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its March Students of the Month: Megan Matthews (Rotary Club of Joliet), Madeline Troha (Joliet Noon Lions Club), and Zach Siegfried (Kiwanis Club of Joliet).

Megan Matthews is the daughter of John and Linda Matthews. Megan’s favorite subject is AP Calculus and has earned a GPA of 3.97 of a 4.0 scale. She has been a member of the National Honors Society, the National French Honors Society, the President of Mu Alpha Theta, is an Illinois State Scholar, and has been awarded the National French Contest Certificate three times. Megan is also a member of Student Council, Vocal Ensemble, French Club, WJCA, and is a Student Ambassador. Outside of JCA, Megan is involved with the Vocal Choir at St. Mary Immaculate, and Relay for Life since 2009. After JCA, Megan plans to attend the University of Alabama with a major in Political Science to become a Medical Malpractice lawyer. 

Madeline Troha is the daughter of Rolf and Gretchen Troha. Her favorite subjects are English and US History with a GPA of 4.62 on a 5.0 scale. Madeline is captain of the Golf and Softball teams, and has been a member of Scholastic Bowl, Varsity Club, and Spanish Club. This past year, Madeline had received the Patrick Quigley Scholarship. Outside of JCA, Madeline has been a member of the Joliet Juniorettes and the Tom Cross Youth Council. Madeline has not made a decision about which college to attend, but wants to major in either American Studies, English, or History.

Zach is the son of Jeffrey and Jill Siegfried. Zach has been a member of National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Zach has been captain of the Cross Country team and the Tennis team. He has received the Cross Country Sportsmanship Award sophomore and senior Years, Cross Country Most Valuable Runner Junior year, and Tennis State Qualifier Sophomore and junior years. Zach has earned the 2010 Computer Fundamental Certificate and 2011 Theology Certificate. After JCA, Zach plans to attend Butler University majoring in Communications/Journalism, pursuing a career in sports broadcasting.
