Student cast and crew members of the Joliet West High School Contest Play won the Technical Excellence Award at the Southwest Suburban Conference Festival this past weekend. The award is given to a cast and crew that can both set up and strike the set in a fast, productive, organized and safe manner.
“This award is representative of our play’s exceptional set, as well as its outstanding technical components,’ said Contest Play director Laura Allison. “We had one of the largest sets of the day, and our students worked so well together that we were able to set up and strike the set in just under 8 minutes. This is truly a remarkable feat.”
