Not only did Rob Lowe have to sit in a makeup artist's chair for nine hours every time he wanted to look as ugly as Drew Peterson, but he also spent an untold amount of time "immersing himself in 'hours and hours' of footage of the accused killer" to prepare for the new movie based on my book Fatal Vows, says the website Contactmusic.com.
The site quoted a Lowe interview with Piers Morgan about the upcoming world premiere of Drew Peterson: Untouchable. Here was Lowe's take on playing Peterson:
"I think he has a sort of malignant charm. And the question was how do you find that? I watched hours and hours and hours and hours of footage on him. He's got a very particular speech pattern, the way he holds himself, all the stuff that all actors do when they're playing somebody who's a real character."
No word yet on how the guy playing Joe Hosey got into character for the role of a lifetime.
Drew Peterson: Untouchable is airing Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. (and Bolingbrook) time.
