Battery Arrest
Amanda M. Loyd, 30, of the 300 block of N. Broadway in Joliet, was charged with battery and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. Police charged Loyd after responding to a call about an unwanted subject at 1:56 a.m. in the 100 block of E. Jefferson in Shorewood. She posted bond and was released with a court date.

Matthew R. Mersch, 21, of the 12000 block of Ethan Avenue North in White Bear Lake, MN, was charged with criminal trespass to a residence, disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing a peace officer following an incident at 3:18 a.m. in the 900 block of Windsor Drive in Shorewood. He was taken to Will County jail.
