5 Teens Busted on Pot Possession: Blotter

Shorewood police reports, Dec. 20 to Jan. 9.

THURSDAY, JAN. 9

Phillip F. Tade, 42, of the 100 block of East Jefferson, Shorewood, was charged with driving with a revoked license and driving without valid registration. He was stopped at about 1:48 p.m. near the intersection of Route 59 and Route 52 for a registration violation. Tade posted bond and was released with a court date.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 8

A 16-year-old Shorewood male was charged with possessing marijuana and drug equipment after his vehicle was stopped at about 4:09 p.m. near Black Road and Brookforest Avenue for a seat belt violation. He was released to his parents pending a court appearance. Two 17-year-old Joliet males and two 16-year-old Joliet males who were in the car with him also were busted on marijuana and drug equipment charges. Three of the boys were cited for seat belt violations.

MONDAY, JAN. 6

Huy V. Nguyen, 21, of the 1000 block of Bayhill Lane, Shorewood, was charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lighting after his vehicle was stopped at about 2:49 a.m. near Seil Road and Dover Way for a headlight violation. He posted bond and was released with a court date.

TUESDAY, DEC. 31

Donald L. Fox, 67, of the 300 block of North Brookshore Drive, Shorewood, was charged with domestic battery. He was arrested after officers responded to a complaint at about 2:58 p.m. and was taken to Will County jail.

SUNDAY, DEC. 22

Thomas R. Leonhardt, 21, of the 700 block of Manhattan Road, Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without valid registration, driving without insurance and was arrested on two Will County warrants. His vehicle was stopped at about 1:59 a.m. near Channahon and Cottage streets. Leonhardt posted bond on the citations and was taken to Will County jail for the warrants.

FRIDAY, DEC. 20

A 17-year-old Shorewood male was charged with trespassing after an officer responded to a call at about 10:47 p.m. in the 300 block of Parkside about an unknown person sleeping in a car. The boy was arrested and released to his mother.
