Bad Number Shorewood Police Blotter

The cops were randomly running license plates again.

The cops hit a lucky number—for them, anyway—when they randomly ran a license plate and found themselves a wanted man, police said.

Kenneth Berlinquette, 27, of 115 Twin Oaks Drive in Joliet was pulled over at 12:30 a.m. Friday.

A cop picked out Berlinquette "after a random license plate check revealed the vehicle owner was wanted," police said.

What Berlinquette was wanted on was a larceny charge out of Kane County, police said.

Berlinquette was arrested on the warrant but released from custody after posting bond. He was then free to leave Shorewood and go back to Joliet.
