The Shorewood police took two people to jail in two weeks and the county got one too.

Jan. 22

Drunken driving arrest

A woman was jailed on a drunken driving charge after a Will County cop pulled her over on Black Road near Interstate 55, police said.

Tiffanie Hambrick, age 22, of 1207 Ranchwood Drive in Shorewood was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

Hambrick was taken to the Will County jail.

Jan. 18

Litterbug bagged

A Manhattan man landed in jail after a cop saw him throwing things out his car window, pulled him over and found out he had a warrant, said.

Jamie Schmidt, 22, of 130 S. Wabash St. was stopped by the police about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Addleman Street and Black Road. He was taken into custody on a Kendall County warrant charging him with driving under the influence.

Schmidt was unable to post bond so the police carted him off to the Will County jail.

Dec. 31

Joliet man jailed

A wanted Joliet man was arrested on New Year's Eve.

Matthew Rees, 22, of 3007 Fiday Road was pulled over in the 500 block of Brook Forest Avenue for blowing a stop sign, police said.

It turned out he had a Will County warrant charging him with driving with a suspended license.

Ress couldn't post bond and was taken down to the county jail, police said.
